    • On Saturday our Tiger swimmers took the final step and won the state championship in swimming…. Congratulations!!
  • Ethan Garvey Signs with Evansville Soccer
    • Holy Cross would like to congratulate senior Ethan Garvey, who signed his letter intent to play college soccer at the University of Evansville Indiana this week. Evansville is a Division 1 program that competes in the Missouri Valley Conference.
    • This is the first Division 1 signing for the Holy Cross Soccer program. After our first State Championship in the spring, this is a great next step for the Tiger soccer program.
    • Congratulations Ethan and also good luck in this year’s amazing soccer season
  • The Tiger Band is still selling poinsettias for the holidays! The cost is $10 each and will be available for pick-up after the Christmas concert. The order form is available on the schools website as well as in our show notes
  •  Cheerleader Wreath Fundraiser
    • The Holy Cross Cheerleaders are also in full swing with their fundraiser to help cover expenses for the National High School Cheerleading Championship in Orlando,Florida. They are selling wreaths and door sprays and a cheerleader will deliver it to you personally. If you have any questions, contact Miss Watson

  • Holy Cross will sponsor a “People and Pets Food Drive.” Duringthe week of November 5-9, they will accept donations of non-perishable fooditems to benefit Second Harvest Food Bank and the food pantries of some localchurches. They are also accept donations of pet food as well to benefitVillalobos Rescue Center in the 9th Ward and Animal Rescue of New Orleans(ARNO). Donations may be brought to the middle and high school buildings or tothe primary school office. Students volunteers will offer curb-side collections during the morning drop-off at Paris Avenue.

A Piece of Holy Cross History

  • This original orphanage run by the Holy Cross brothers, along with the first Ursuline School for Girls (the oldest Catholic School in America), was demolished and moved to make room for the building if the 1923 Industrial Canal
  • The Advisory Committee of the Laura Bush Foundation for America’s Libraries informed Holy Cross School that it has been chosen to receive a $50,000 grant to purchase books for the school’s library. She attended Holy Cross on Thursday, April 19, 2007 to present the 14 grantees in Mississippi and Louisiana, including Holy Cross, with the donation

  • Holy Cross School inducted 15 sports legends into its Sports Hall of Fame last week. The 2018 Hall of Fame Class was presented during halftime at the Holy Cross School vs. Live Oak football game on Thursday, and were further honored at a banquet and induction ceremony Friday,
