  •  HC Basketball update  
    • Tigers fall74-73 on last second FTs. To Warren Easton
    • This week Tigers also played in the East Ascension Spartan Classic
      • Tigers beat East St John 92-69 in the first round
      • Defeat the host team of East Ascension 62-58
      • They play Bonnabel 6pm Sat….thats now…for the championship
  • Soccer update
    • Final 0-1, Northshore beats your Tigers
    • Soccer Tigers take home the victory against Alexandria by a score of 1-0.
    • And as we filmed this they just started play against Lakeshore in the semis of the Lakeshore Invitational
  • Holy Cross hosted the Brother Martin Crusaders this past Wednesday night in a wrestling dual meet showing off the teams in contention of becoming the 2018-19 LHSAA Division I State Champions.
    • Despite Brother Martin winning the meet 32-25,Coach Nick Michael is confident that his team will continue to work hard in preparation for the ultimate show-down at the state tournament in February.
    • The next home dual meet will be Senior Night on January 23rd when Holy Cross hosts Jesuit.
  •  Debate Team Places Second in St. Augustine Tournament
    • The Holy Cross Debate Team took home second place sweepstakes honors in the St.Augustine High School Speech and Debate Tournament that was held on November 30and December 1, 2018.
  • Boden Garda placed fifth in Original Oratory; Duncan Olsen finished fifth in Declamation, and Austin Wyman finished fifth in both Impromptu Speaking and Student Congress.
  • Ben Young placed third in Student Congress. Mason Wallace and Austin Wyman finished first in Public Forum Debate. Blake Ziegler was second in Extemporaneous Speaking. He shared first place honors in Advanced Lincoln-Douglas Debate and finished first in Student Congress and first in Impromptu Speaking.
  • The team meets every Monday after school and is still accepting new and returning members.
  •  Middle School Quiz Bowl Team Takes Home Honors
    • The Holy Cross Middle School Quiz Bowl Team competed in the Academy of Our Lady Academic Games on Saturday, Dec. 1 and took home several awards.
      • Congratulations to the following students who won medals:
        •     World Wars: Blade Schneider (7th Grade)& Hunter Blankenship (7th Grade)—3rd Place
        •     SI Units: Blade Schneider (7th Grade) & Rohit Srivastava (6th Grade)—3rd Place
        •   Health& Nutrition: Blade Schneider (7th Grade) & Zachary Becnel (5thGrade)—1st Place
        •   Geography: Riley Domingue (7th Grade) &Hunter Blankenship (7th Grade)—2nd Place
        •   Literary Devices: Blade Schneider (7thGrade)—2nd Place

    • Soccer Tigers fall to Newman 1-3 but your HC Varsity Tigers traveled to Lafayette this weekend for the Copa Acadiana Tournament, and faced Vandebilt, Episcopal of BR and Loyola High School (
  • ·        Wrestling update
  • The Tigers whipped the Wolves 47-12. Despite the fact that St. Paul’s is considered a prime contender in Division I this season,Holy Cross was simply too good, winning 8 of 12 matches contested and taking the other two by forfeit.
  •  Holy Cross School Names Alumnus Trey Guillot Head Varsity Baseball Coach
  • Holy Cross School is pleased to announce the appointment of Trey Guillot as its head baseball coach for the 2018-2019 school year. Guillot has been serving as director of the school’s 5th through 12thgrade baseball program and will continue in that role as well.
  • Guillot, a 1995 graduate of Holy Cross, was a three-year Letterman in baseball and was all-district his junior and senior year and all-metro and team captain his senior season. Guillot attended Tulane University, playing baseball for two years under Coach Rick Jones, and transferred to the University of New Orleans, playing two years for Coach Tom Schwaner
