Full STEaM Ahead! Middle School STEM Club
through the generous support of a grant from the Terracon foundation, the Holy Cross Science Department will pilot a new STEM club for middle school students. This club will focus on building the skills that students need to succeed in the STEM-oriented career of engineering. Students will work in groups with an engineering mentor to design, build, and test a product that solves a real-world problem. The club will be open to a maximum of 24 students and will meet after school on Wednesdays or Thursdays, from 3:00-4:30, beginning the week of March 11; it will also require one Saturday commitment in April. Because the school anticipate demand to be high, there is a short application that they are asking interested students to complete and turn in to Marie Hooper by Wednesday, February 27 at 3:00 p.m. Applicants will be notified on Friday, February 29, if they are accepted into the club. Please email Marie Hooper or Katherine Schilling with questions.
